BUS 480 049Y International BusinessI received my BA in socioeconomics and economics from Michigan State University and I have my MBA in marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I am a small business owner and I have run the family’s athletic jersey manufacturing company for the last 16 years. We cut and sew athletic uniforms, primarily hockey jerseys and socks, right here in my town. In addition to my business, I have always loved teaching (my mom was a teacher and my dad was the family business owner – so I was torn) – so I have been teaching face to face and online courses for the past 14 years. It balances my work life and fits my lifestyle perfectly!
My husband and I have been married for almost 15 years. Together we have a 13-year-old daughter and a 19-year old daughter from his first marriage. The other “family” members are a 17 pound cat - “Nigel the girl cat” and 16 pound miniature schnauzer – “Schatzi von Schnauzer”.
In my spare time, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My whole family is in the area – my mom (my dad passed away a couple of years ago), my brother and his family and my sister and her family. We all love to get together often. We do many dinners, parties and spend a lot of time at the family cottage on Lake Michigan.
My family loves to golf, travel, read, take lots of pictures (we are the family that always has a camera with them!), watch football (Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Iowa Hawkeyes primarily), and travel. We love to go to places like Walt Disney World, Hilton Head Island, San Francisco and Phoenix.
