  • Sheri Grotrian joined Peru State College in the capacity as the Peru State College Lincoln Center Director in June 2002. During this time, she was also an adjunct instructor for the Peru State College online program. In January 2006, Sheri became full-time faculty in the School of Professional Studies. Presently, Dr. Grotrian serves as a Professor of Business and teaches both on campus and online.

    Dr. Grotrian completed her PhD at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2012. Her area of emphasis is Educational Leadership in Higher Education with a concentration in Human Resource Development. Her dissertation was entitled, “Mentoring Functions within the American Council on Education (ACE) Fellows Leadership Development Program: A Mixed Methods Study.” She received an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a focus in Strategic Management. Dr. Grotrian earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Marketing & Management from Peru State College.

    Dr. Grotrian continues to serve as Faculty Advisor of FBLA-PBL on the Peru State College campus and is also a Nebraska FBLA-PBL board member. Sheri has also served as Managing Editor for Human Resource Development Review and as Production Editor for the National Council of Instructional Administrators’ (NCIA) Program Initiatives.

    Dr. Grotrian continues to present at a plethora of academic-related conferences. Furthermore, she has published in multiple peer-reviewed publications including Journal of Education and Learning, International Journal of Evidence Based Mentoring, Journal of Civic Commitment, Instructional Leadership Abstracts, as well as a wide array of conference proceedings.

    In addition to duties at Peru State College, Dr. Grotrian has also consulted with local organizations. Sheri has consulted with MDS PharmaServices in Lincoln, Nebraska, working directly with the Global Clinical Training & Development Department. With that work, she assisted with the development and standardization of training programs for their multiple locations: Lincoln, Nebraska; Phoenix, Arizona; Neptune, New Jersey, New Orleans, Louisiana; Montreal, Quebec, Canada; Belfast, Ireland; and Hamburg, Germany. Most recently, Dr. Grotrian has conducted continuous learning/development training sessions with Nebraska Public Power District/Cooper Nuclear Station employees.
