College Timeline

  • Schedule a college visit to Peru State College 

    Apply for admission to Peru State College

    International student information

    Send ACT or SAT Scores* to Peru State College – School Codes ACT 2470    SAT 6468 (*scores are optional for admission but required for certain competitive scholarships)

    Register for Summer Orientation beginning February 1.

    Complete the housing application and pay the $50 application fee beginning February 1 – May 1 priority housing date 

    Complete the FAFSA in October - FAFSA Code 002559

    FAFSA Priority Filing Date – March 15

    Monitor your myPSC To-Do list for Financial Aid for verification document requests, aid offers, loan entrance counseling and master promissory note.

    Keep checking your Peru State College email for important updates and information. 

  • To be Completed in April/June:

    Attend Summer Orientation and register for fall classes

    Complete the housing application by the May 1 priority housing date and pay the $50 housing fee. 

    Complete and submit the Peru State College Health and Counseling Form (on-campus students only)

    Submit a copy of your health care provider immunization records that show proof of two MMRs (on-campus students only)

    Have official final high school transcripts sent to Peru State College (Admissions, PO Box 10, Peru NE  68421)

    Have official college transcripts for early entry or dual credit courses sent to Peru State College (Admissions, PO Box 10, Peru NE  68421)

    Complete a FERPA Release of Information form by contacting the Student Records Office for a form

    Consider providing Parent/Guest Access to your educational records

    Request disability services and provide supporting documentation if applicable

    Bring documentation for employment eligibility verification (I9) including a valid photo ID and a social security card or birth certificate.

    Student Athletes – Submit the Following Documents before arriving on campus

    Insurance Forms – proof of primary health insurance

    Pre-participation physical exam – New student athletes – obtain your own physical from your family physician.

    • Focus on General Studies classes including any that are program prerequisites for your major.
    • Get to know your professors and advisor.
    • Explore career interests and related majors.
    • Get involved in at least one on-campus organization.
    • Meet new friends and build campus relationships.
    • Find opportunities to volunteer.
    • Complete general studies classes and take a couple of classes for your major.
    • Meet any program entrance requirements (PRAXIS and other for Teacher Education).
    • Discover more about careers that interest you through informational interviews, job shadowing, a parttime job, etc.
    • Review and reaffirm your values, interests, personality, and abilities.
    • Participate in volunteer opportunities on campus or in the community.
    • Take leadership roles on campus.
    • Apply for a Residence Life position.
    • Talk with your advisor to ensure you are meeting academic requirements for graduation and discuss career plans.
    • Talk to professors about research opportunities.
    • Consider and research an advanced degree.
    • Connect with professionals in the field through internships, job fairs, etc.
    • Obtain an internship.
    • Develop a list of professional references and keep in contact.
    • Gain more practical experience through activities, employment and community involvement.
    • Meet regularly with your advisor and confirm graduation status.
    • Apply for graduation.
    • Request letters of recommendation from faculty members.
    • Achieve – update your resume and profile on jobsites, attend the career fair, apply for graduate school or jobs.
