Program Overview
The Pre-Pharmacy program at Peru State College provides a comprehensive curriculum to meet the prerequisites for pharmacy schools. This 73 to 74 credit hour program includes foundational courses in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and English composition. Key biology courses include Introductory Zoology, Human Anatomy, and Physiology. Chemistry coursework covers General and Organic Chemistry, as well as Biochemistry. Students also complete General Physics I, with an option to take Principles of Quantitative Analysis or General Physics II. Additional coursework in Calculus, Statistics, and Speech ensures a well-rounded education. Restricted and additional electives in areas such as Fine & Performing Arts, History, Humanities, Political Science, and Social Sciences provide further breadth to the curriculum.
