Library

Although the current location for the Peru State College Library has been a staple of campus since the creation of the college it was not always the library. The current library has gone through many renovations. Originally designed as a chapel with a castle-like rampart, the library was later transformed into a gymnasium

The library has had many homes starting in 1889 as a wooden structure costing $3,000 and being torn down to build the Jindra Fine Arts building in 1936. Prior to being torn down a new library was constructed in 1906 for a cost of $32,000. The library was renovated in 2004 into what is now the Center for Achievement and Transition Services.
