We Are Peru State - Faculty & Staff Giving
Students. This is why we work at Peru State. This is why we give.
As Peru State faculty and staff, you invest your time and talent in the College and
our students every day. When you extend your contributions to include philanthropy,
you express your belief in Peru State's mission.
Giving makes a difference at Peru State College - from providing food for students
who stay on-campus during breaks, to funding major capital improvement projects like
the Performing Arts Center renovation that provides outstanding hands-on classroom
spaces for students to learn.
Gifts can be designated to the area of your choice. Examples include the Professional
Staff Senate Scholarship, the Snyder Experiential Fund, the general scholarship fund,
the Student Center renovation and more.
We are better together
Faculty and staff at Peru State College are leaders in the community, on-campus and to our many alumni and friends. In 2018, 22% of faculty and staff gave to Peru State College through the Foundation. The goal of the campaign, We are Peru State, is to dramatically increase this percentage and inspire others to give because of your generosity. Every gift makes a difference.

Why I give...
Dr. Sara B. Crook, Professor of History
"Giving to the Peru State College Foundation is a way to acknowledge that the mission
of the college is important, not just for our students, but also for the larger community
of southeast Nebraska. It is crucial for any foundation, no matter the actual amount,
to be able to say that those who work here believe in its purpose. And the way to
verify that belief in our purpose is to financially support it.
As a faculty member I find it particularly helpful that I can make a designated gift
that can specifically help the programs I champion. The Peru State College Foundation
has been able, due to previous designated donations to the Social Science Department,
to help us fund special events and activities for our students. To me, it is a win
for the Foundation, a win for the college, and a win for me as a faculty member."
Debbie White, Former Vice President for Administration and Finance
"Shortly after starting at Peru State College, I attended a meeting where the discussion
revolved around how some students do not have money for food during the school breaks.
This resonated with me and made me realize that I needed to make sure our students
had this very basic need. I immediately visited with Human Resources and had a payroll
deduction set up to help facilitate a fund for meals for students staying on campus
over the holidays. Since this time, I have had my contribution split and am able
to contribute to other areas of need across the College. The Foundation makes it
very easy and are always gracious to work with when I want to change where my contributions
are being utilized.
My position at Peru State, allows me the ability to fully understand the various funding
streams received by the College and the various needs across the campus. Unfortunately
there is always more needs than available funding. That is why it is critical to
have donor support and why I am happy to say that I am a donor. "
