Whether on campus or online, Dr. Hutchison’s classes include application of course
theory to “real life” cases and current events. Dr. Hutchison believes in group projects
and collaborative work, since both are prevalent in today’s business environment.
A native of Florida, Dr. Hutchison earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Management at University of Tampa, and a Juris Doctor degree from Stetson University
College of Law.
Hutchison served as legal counsel to Dun & Bradstreet Corporation and then started
a private law practice in Tampa, Florida. In 1990 she entered the field of education,
serving as General Counsel to Pasco-Hernando Community College and designing and launching
the school’s first paralegal program.
Hutchison moved to Nebraska in 2000 and served College of Saint Mary in Omaha as Vice
President for College Relations and General Counsel until 2004.
Now, devoted to teaching and cheering for the Bobcats, Hutchison embraces her role
teaching law and business courses and mentoring Peru’s business students.
