Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is a training course to assist our students, faculty, and staff how to identify, understand and respond to a mental health situation or crisis. The course gives each individual the skills, knowledge, and a better understanding of mental health issues. Currently there is at least two sessions of the training course per semester. You can go to the link https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/ to find out more information on MHFA and the National Council of Behavioral Health. When you are interested in registering for the courses please contact Janell Moore, LMHP, MS Licensed Student Counselor at jmoore@peru.edu, 402-872-2369 or offices of Counseling and Career Services in CATS 203.
